Timeless Fashion, Crafted Sustainably in Australia

From the stages of Melbourne's grand theatres to a sunlit studio in the Dandenong Ranges, by Audrey & Grace began as a dream to balance motherhood with meaningful creation. My journey with needle and thread started long before my career in fashion and costume – learning to sew at my mother's side and discovering a love of needlework and craft from both of my grandmothers and my Aunty. These early lessons in craftsmanship and care would later shape my work as a costumier for The Australian Ballet and Cirque du Soleil, where my passion for exceptional detail found its professional expression. Working from my home studio in the hills, surrounded by nature's inspiration, what started as bespoke formal and wedding gowns, alterations and repairs, evolved into something more significant.

The brand name emerged organically, inspired by my two cats – themselves named after timeless style icons Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly – who would occasionally inspect the wedding dresses during creation.

This natural evolution reflects the very essence of slow fashion – thoughtful, purposeful, and rooted in quality. Beginning with a small collection of organic children's wear, each design since has been carefully considered and crafted with intention, growing steadily into the label you see today.

Brand Introduction

Today, by Audrey & Grace represents the harmonious blend of artisanal craftsmanship and sustainable innovation. My collections honour both tradition and forward-thinking design, creating pieces that respect people and planet alike.

As an Ethical Clothing Australia accredited brand, I’m committed to supporting local craftsmanship while
minimising environmental impact. From my Australian made clothing to my careful selection of organic and natural materials, each piece reflects our belief that fashion should be as kind to the planet as it is beautiful.

My size-inclusive collections, (sizes 6-22) are thoughtfully designed to integrate seamlessly into your existing
wardrobe and last for years to come. Working from my studio which is supported by solar power, I create original pieces that embrace zero waste principles and circular fashion design, proving that sustainability and style can coexist beautifully.

Each garment tells a story of conscious creation – from the Australian-grown cotton fabrics we source, to the water based pigment inks used for our prints, to the organic threads and natural buttons that complete each piece. This attention to detail extends beyond the visible, encompassing every aspect of my production process.

At by Audrey & Grace, my approach to fashion is as considered as the garments I create. Unlike traditional seasonal collections, I design unique, timeless pieces that transcend trends, focusing instead on longevity and versatility.

My zero waste design philosophy shapes many of my creations, where every centimetre of fabric is thoughtfully incorporated into each garment. This innovative approach not only eliminates waste but creates unique, sculptural elements that make each piece special.

I prioritise natural fibres in my collections, with select pieces crafted from Australian-milled cotton for my intimates, kids tees and jumper collections. My commitment to sustainable materials extends to my printed fabrics, where I use natural fabrics printed with water based pigment inks to bring vibrant designs to life while treading lightly on the earth.

In my hills studio, partly powered by solar energy and utilising captured rainwater for fabric washing, every piece is cut and sewn with precision and care. I select only the finest sustainable haberdashery – from organic cotton threads to natural corozo buttons – ensuring every element aligns with my commitment to creating circular fashion.

This dedicated approach to slow, mindful production means I release designs at my own pace, allowing space for innovation and refinement. Each piece is an investment in both your wardrobe and our planet's future.
